At present European universities face 2 interrelated challenges:

To adapt better their education and research to the real society’s needs through an efficient mutual knowledge and know-how transfer rising from cooperation with economic practice.

To find ways how to prepare their students for working in the global world, namely for cooperating with stakeholders from countries beyond Europe, including developing and/or emerging regions.
The project consortium wishes to address both of them by developing sustainable strategies for cooperation higher education - enterprises between European Union stakeholders and those from Latin America and Caribbean (LAC).
Specific objectives:

To identify the present situation in the field of university-enterprise cooperation between EU and LAC stakeholders and to develop sustainable strategies for cooperation in the field of knowledge, know-how and experience transfer.

To develop an effective, time-saving and user friendly mechanism and procedure for making it easier to manage different cooperation arrangements.

To raise awareness about the need of the EU-LAC University – enterprise cooperation among relevant stakeholder in selected EU countries.

To create a nucleus of a potential network of partners interested specifically in promoting EU-LAC University – enterprise cooperation.
